Downloads won't start - any ideas? I have used my QNAP for bit torrent downloads in the past (last was a couple of weeks ago) and it always seemed to work quite well. I tried to down load a couple of files yesterday and they just sit there in a WAIT state with no progress what so ever. My company is designing an anti-theft box to protect radioactive sources at hospitals, universities, DoE sites, etc. Our strength is measuring radiation, not image processing for surveillance purposes, so we are thinking of buying an off-the-shelf NVR with the motion detection and anti-tamper features already built in. New QNAP system and poor disk write speed I've just bought a QNAS TS-469L with 2 x Western Digital WD40EFRX RED HardDisk. I've configured them in RAID1 and upgrade the kernel to 4.1.0 build 20140612. The problem is that my disk write performance are disappointing too. I'm doing this test to exclude network issues or others. I access my QNAP with ssh- Code: Select all

Shifting disks to anothe bay. Hi. I have 12 bay QNAP (TS-EC1279u-RP). Right now bays 1- 4 are full with 3 TB disks. In order to install Cache disk, i need to shift disks 3 & 4 to another bays. How can I accomplished this? (The Qnap config in Raid 5, and two volumes) Thanks for any help,

Accidentally moved system folders I did a stupid error in my typing and moved system folders to the current shared directory. Directories such as bin/ lib/ etc/ mnt/ and so on.
