Added scripts lost from /etc/init.d/ on reboot.

Added scripts lost from /etc/init.d/ on reboot. Hi, I'm finding that scripts i place in /etc/init.d disappear after a reboot. Additionally link's in /share also suffer the same fate. I'm assuming that both are rebuild on reboot from a static source but cannot at present find it, could someone enlighten me as to how to overcome this? Regards.
