Raid 5 writing while synchronizing

Raid 5 writing while synchronizing Hi, I just installed a Raid 5 for the first time. Now it synchronizes, which can take like forever literally. Can I write while it synchronizes? And if I write does it have any disadvantages afterwards, because parts are not getting written the optimal way? Should I wait for it to finish first? Or does it only sync when there is data written?
