USB-copy of ext HDD (HFS+ & TM backups)?

USB-copy of ext HDD (HFS+ & TM backups)? I know Qnap supports apple's file format HFS+ for external hdds, but does that include the function usb-copy (ie. put it in the nas, press copy)? If so, is the file system of the folders created on the nas by such a backup the original HFS+?
