ts-212 and Ubuntu 11.10 NFS client

ts-212 and Ubuntu 11.10 NFS client I'm seeing poor performance when using ubuntu 11.10 nfs client with the QNAP TS-212. I'm on a wired/wireless GB network. Pushing data to the server on a wired connection freezes for a few seconds, continues for a bit, etc, etc. When I try wireless, these 'hiccups' become even more serious and freeze the NFS client completely until I force an unmount of the share.
