TS459 Pro II speed: 34 - 39MB/s -- is this normal?

TS459 Pro II speed: 34 - 39MB/s -- is this normal? I installed 4X2TB SAMSUNG HD204UI in RAID 5 on the TS459 Pro II and am copying a 115GB folder of photos (25MB Raw files + 2MB jpegs) to the NAS from my late 2011 I7 iMac's built-in 2TB drive (Hitachi 7200rpm) over gigabit ethernet.
