How significant is difference between SATA II vs. III?

How significant is difference between SATA II vs. III? How big a performance hit will I see if using a SATA II drive rather than a SATA III drive? I just purchased a TS-119P II and I have a SATA II drive that I would like to use (Seagate ST31000528AS which is on the compatibility list).
