Expanding volume by adding drives larger than originals I have a TS-869 Pro currently populated with (5) 3TB Western Digital "Red" drives, raid-6, with a total capacity of 8TB as currently configured. When I first got the system 18 months ago, the 3TB drive was the best bang for the buck, but larger drives are now very affordable, with 4TB drives going for $150 and 6TB drives for $260. So... q1.
